YOUNGSTERS from St John’s Primary School in Wellington were among the first to try out the new Flipout Centre at Chelston before its grand opening.
Pupils in Year 4 and 5 and staff were given an informative briefing before trying out the new sports equipment, including trampolining, foam pit and ninja warrior-style course.
“It was great to see the children taking part in exercise in such a fun and engaging way,” said acting head Mary Clothier.
“The staff were really enthusiastic and supportive to the children. Afterwards, the children came back to school buzzing with excitement.
“We look forward to building further links with Flipout and exploring ways to be innovative with how this style of exercise can be incorporated into the PE curriculum.”
